After living and working in Asia for over 30 years, I’ve adopted a number of healthy habits to overcome the deficiencies of the normal Western diet. In addition, there are exercise and mobility practices to address resistance training and longevity concerns.

Original Songs
I’ve played acoustic guitar for over 40 years, just banging out cowboy chords. During the COVID-19 pandemic I learned music theory. It set me free to explore the fretboard and my livelong dream to be a songwriter.
That dream is now unfolding in my 60s.

Special Book Project
This book follows my arc from growing up in Texas, joining the Peace Corps and going to Kenya, working in the deserts of Sudan and traversing the rainforests of Southeast Asia.
I first started writing essays about the wonders of nature, science, and culture for newspapers and magazines.
This is a personal collection to document these travels and my thoughts over the decades for family and posterity.

Young adults are unclear about their own future and unsure about how to navigate troubled and changing times. They gravitate to media personalities and influencers to seek advice, but just want to make good life decisions and live a meaningful life.
Real Life Rules illustrates a set of common sense truths forged from my own life experiences. These rules are not solutions. They offer a way to rethink your situation to make your own damn decisions.
The overall aim is to help define your own beliefs hidden inside to guide future choices.
